Here's my kuwento about the August 12-13 reunion.
"Ay naku! "duro na ay "yano" pang saya meeting your friends/batchmates after 27 years. There were new attendees (didn't attend the 25th year). Helen Garcia was there and gave her short message and apologized for not making it last 1998 due to her tight commitments. Malou Javierto was also there without her crutches. Thank GOD she has recovered. She's even inviting us to a mukmukan party sa kanila. Remember 'yong magdamag na party sa basement nila ... ha ... ha ... ha ... kakakilig 'di ba!
Puro "sweet" ang tugtog. We all enjoyed the games. Grabe ang mga ladies, pag medyo nagkaka-edad na pala eh nawawala ang inhibitions. Akalain mong ang galing naming maghanap ng talong na itinago ng mga "men" sa iba't ibang part ng body nila. Belle was so generous to give prizes for the games. Edward Tolentino was elected president while Danilo's the vice. Si Dada ang secretary at si Deo naman ang treasurer. As usual, they requested me to render a song but I begged off, kasi hindi na ako maka-memorize ng kanta ngayon. Instead, I read to them Sr. Ligaya's message, okay ba Sister! The last part of the party was the lighting of candles. Everybody was given a small candle. Danilo started to light his and lighted mine and gave me a souvenir item ... then pasa-pasa na. How touching naman while the song "If We Hold on Together" was being played. We parted at 11:30 P.M. na bitin pa kaya the next day, may mukmukan 'blues' pa raw sa Talim, Isabang kaya lang hindi na kami nakasama nina Siony at Alice 'cause we had to go home na sa Manila. After all those, ang napala ko hindi ako nakapasok sa office ng Monday. Bakit? Hay, nanakit ang katawan ko sa kakarampa sa dance floor (buti nga, nagpipilit pa kasi). Aba'y what can I do eh mabenta ang beauty ko kasi andoon lahat ng mga "dati" na ay "ex" pa. Sayang Robert ikaw na lang ang kulang. Ha! Ha! Ha! for me, reunions are as exciting as high school days.
BTW, Evelyn Sanchez didn't attend kasi wala ka raw. Best regards daw from Danilo. I hope you'll identify me, Siony, Alice, Perla, Bebot, Helen, Malou, Meda, Divinia, Girlie Zubia, Beth and Letty Flancia, Minda Moredo.
And more ...
Turo and Deo were there. In fact Turo was one of the emcees and Deo was elected treasurer. Incia is enrolled at UP for a post doctoral degree kaya she wasn't able to attend the reunion.
Yong parang pirate si Malou 'yon (affected) by the stroke she suffered but she isn't blind, medyo "silaw" lang.
